Owen Chen has more than 25 years of experience in mechanical engineering, international business management, supplier quality engineering and statistical engineering.

Owen has a B.A in mechanical engineering from China and Master Degree of Business Administration from the University of New Mexico, USA.

His career started in Petroleum Industry in North China Oilfields as a mechanical design engineer for 10 years. Then, he joined international companies in Beijing, China during a time of economic reform. Also while in China, Owen worked at SHV Energy as their Marketing Development Manager and later as a General Manager in the Consumer Goods industry.

While in the US, Owen has worked as a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer for General Motors and prior as a Quality Engineer at a Tier 1 supplier. He specialized in APQP, PPAP, SPC, GD&T, TS-16949, problem solving supplier efficiency improvements and new program launches. He traveled to Asia to launch GM programs, providing training for GM China SQEs, and develop new local suppliers.

In addition, he provided GM Leadership, translation and business culture coaching during China visits.

Owen has been married 18 years to his wife Fanrong, and they both have a wonderful daughter, Jessica.
